The Danny Shum-trained galloper is three starts into this preparation and looks well placed here for back-to-back success in this event.

Last start, the D'argento gelding improved off two unplaced efforts when he claimed victory in a Class 4 Hcp, here over 1200m.

From gate five, Lyle Hewitson had him sitting third one off the fence on settling to the turn before drawing alongside the leader then soon after taking control and in the run home, held them all at bay and had plenty left over the line.

Meeting similar company here, he has to carry 3kgs more with Hewitson retaining the ride tonight and at his peak, fourth-up tonight, he should take beating again in this contest.

Race 4: No.10 Run Run Timing

The Francis Lui-trained galloper is in career-best form this time in and ticking all the boxes here, looks set to claim another gold medal in this event.

Last start, the Deep Field gelding made it five-straight podium finishes when he claimed third prize in a Class 4 Hcp, here over 1650m.

From gate 11 (of 12), Richard Kingscote pushed forward and settled outside the leader to the turn, then in the run home, they were spread right across the track and in a blanket finish, he grabbed the minor prize with just half a length separating half the field on the line.

Facing similar company here over the same track and trip, he gets the gun-run from gate one tonight where he maps to be box-seating on settling with Zac Purton in the saddle for the first time.

High-flying this preparation and ideally drawn for this, he looks the testing material in this contest.

Race 8: No.7 Beauty Alliance

John Size saddles-up Beauty Alliance here who is on top-shelf form of late and having his second crack at Class 2 company tonight, looks in the mix for a win in this event.

Last start, the Starcraft gelding stepped-up from class 3 racing and faced harder company where he did well to finish on the podium, taking home third prize in the Class 2 event, here over 1650m.

Drawn the outside gate (11), Karis Teetan drove forward and settled outside the leader past the post the first time and sat there to the turn where the gelding looked under pressure but to his credit, boxed-on strongly, all the way to the line, claiming the minor prize in the end.

Ideally drawn in gate two tonight, he maps to be box-seating on settling and meets the two who beat him home last start, better at the weights and the barrier.

Andrea Atzeni returns for his second ride on the five-year-old and in his current form, he should prove hard to beat in this contest.
