Stephen Theodore saddles-up Mystrix here who has been thereabouts this preparation and fourth-up today, looks ready to break through in this event.
Last start, the well-bred Trapeze Artist filly found the podium again when she finished third in a set weights Maiden, here over 1400m.
Harry Grace settled her third, one off the fence to the turn before angling wide and in the run home, never stopped chasing, holding onto the minor prize in the race.
From gate ten, she maps to push forward and settle in the first half-dozen with Grace in the saddle again.
Placed twice in two starts at the track, the three-year-old is at her peak now and looks a big chance of bringing up that first win in this contest.
Race 6: No.8 Aloha Blue
The Kate Halliday-trained galloper is on a seven-day back-up here and only needs to overcome the wide gate to be in the mix for victory in this event.
Last start, the Australian-bred mare was third-up and showed a ton of improvement when she beat all but one home in a Rating 0-56 Hcp over 1200m at Gawler.
From the outside gate (10), Jason Holder pushed forward and settled her second without cover to the turn before taking over soon after and looked the winner but grabbed by a swooper right on the line, beaten a whisker in the end.
Drawn wide again today, she jumps from gate 10 (of 14) and with Holder retaining the ride, maps to settle better than mid-field with cover.
Yet to miss a podium finish in three starts at the track, the five-year-old is fourth-up and at her peak today, will take beating in this contest.
Race 7: No.14 Full Commitment
Second-up today, the John Macmillan-trained galloper ticks enough boxes to suggest she is the one to beat in this event.
Last start, the Harry Angel mare resumed off a 13-week spell and did well to beat all but one to the line in a BM56 over 1350m at Strathalbyn.
Drawn wide that day, she jumped with them but was beaten for early speed and settled fourth one off the fence, racing keenly to the turn where the pace was full-on.
Tracking wide on the turn she chased the leader all the way home and finished within a length of victory on the line.
Stepping up to 1400m here, she draws well in gate six and maps to settle in the first half-dozen with cover with Harry Grace steering the ship again.
Already a winner when second-up, the five-year-old will strip fitter off that first-up effort and should prove hard to hold out in this contest.
