We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for Eagle Farm racetrack.
Race 1: No.8 Esha
Tony Gollan saddles-up Esha here who is third-up and well placed for back-to-back success in this event.
Last start, the Extreme Choice mare showed plenty of improvement off her unplaced effort first-up when she took out a Class 6 Hcp, here over 1000m.
Drawn the fence that day, Ben Thompson settled her mid-field to the turn then halfway home, she came off heels and finished over the top of them to score by almost a length on the line.
Dropping sharply in grade here, she locks horns with Class 3 company and from gate 12 (of 14), she maps to push forward and cross to settle better than mid-field with Daniel Moor as the new pilot.
Now boasting track and distance success and taking on much easier company here, the four-year-old looks a major threat in this contest.
Race 2: No.4 Moulin Miss
The Tony Gollan-trained galloper is in solid form this time in and looks a serious contender in this event.
Last start, the Spirit of Boom mare came off a BM78 win over 1000m when she took on Class 6 company and not disgraced, finished fourth in the 1110m event at Doomben.
From gate one, Emily Lang had her leading from the outset and in the run home, still looked a chance but found the final 100m too testing where she weakened out of it to finish fourth, beaten two lengths on the line.
She drops back to the 1000m trip here drawing gate five with Lang in saddle again.
Back to Eagle Farm where she already is a two-time winner and meeting similar company again, the five-year-old looks in the mix for victory in this contest.
Race 6: No.7 Precise Star
Another from the Gollan stable, the four-year-old is unbeaten in three starts this campaign and looks ideally placed to remain that way after this event.
Last start, the Zoustar gelding rang-up the hat-trick when he destroyed his rivals in a Class 2 Hcp over 1680m at Ipswich.
Crossing from gate seven (of 11), Bella Youngberry had him leading on settling, setting a good pace up front and by the home turn, the rest were all off the bit as he found another gear and raced away to win by four lengths over the line.
Facing BM70 opposition here, he get the gun-run from gate one and should be leading again with Youngberry at the helm again.
Winning form is good form and the four-year-old looks the one to beat again in this contest.
