The Brett Robb-trained galloper is second-up today and ticks the right boxes that suggest he is a sneaky chance of taking out this event at odds.
Last start, the Press Statement gelding resumed after six months off the scene and in need of the run, finished unplaced in a BM50 Hcp over 1200m at Coonabarabran.

From gate ten today, he maps to cross and settle mid-field or better with Izzy Neale back for the ride after steering him to his maiden win last preparation.

On a Soft 5 that day, Izzy Neale had her sharing the lead, one off the fence to the turn, then in the run home, took control but on fresh legs, her condition gave out over the final 100m an she had to settle for the minor prize, still beaten less than a length on the line.
Facing a slightly easier task here in a BM58, the mare draws well in gate four and maps to settle on or near the speed with Aaron Bullock as the new pilot.
Placed when second-up previously, the five-year-old will strip fitter today and should prove hard to beat in this contest.
Race 7: No.5 Shamedy
Todd Payne saddles-up Shamedy here who is high-flying after two starts back and looks ideally placed to take out this event.
Last start, the Better Than Ready gelding came off a first-up win at Inverell when he finished third in the Maclean Cup over 1400m at Grafton.
From gate 10 (of 11), Ben Looker settled him last early, spotting the leader eight lengths inside the 1000m peg, then in the run home, whilst no chance for victory from there, he still ran home strong strongly and arrived in time to claim the minor prize on the line.
Well drawn in gate five today, he maps to settle in the back half of the field with Aaron Bullock as the new pilot for this assignment.
Fitter for two runs back now, he is a 1400m specialist, boasting six wins and four minor placings from his 14 starts over the trip and with a trouble-free run here, his Dubbo debut could be a winning one in this contest.
