Race 4: No.7 Lord Limerick
The Donna Scott-trained galloper is high-flying this time in and looks set here to go on with it in this event.
Last start, the All Too Hard gelding came off back-to-back minor placings when he broke through to record his first win in a Maiden Plate, here over 1400m.
From the outside gate (8), Blaike McDougall had him leading on settling and after setting a good pace, straightened up holding a two-length advantage before going on to score a good win.
Drawn wide again here in gate 13 (of 14), he maps to push forward in search of the lead with McDougall in the saddle again.
Fourth-up and at his peak here, the three-year-old should prove hard to run down in this contest.
Race 5: No.7 Brass Monkeys
Scott Collings saddles-up Brass Monkeys here who is second-up and looks set to give this event a real shake.
Last start, the Casino Prince gelding resumed off a 17-week spell and did well to finish third in a Class 1 Hcp over 1200m at Goulburn.
From the outside gate (11), Blaike McDougall settled him mid-field before tracking wide and coming off heels, he hit the line strongly, beaten a neck in a three-horse photo finish.
Drawn nicely in gate seven, he maps to settle better than mid-field with McDougall retaining the ride for this assignment.
Fitter for that run back, he drops back to BM58 grade here and looks the testing material in this contest.
Race 6: No.4 Just Hear Me Out
The Donna Scott-trained galloper is in career-best form this preparation and looks ideally placed here for back-to-back success in this event.
Last start, the Microphone gelding recorded win number two when he took out a Class 1 Hcp over 1175m at Albury.
Drawn the fence that day, Blaike McDougall took him to the lead and showing them the way into the home straight, went on with it to win comfortably by 1.5 lengths on the line.
Stepping-up top to Class 2 company here, he gets all the favours from gate one and maps to be on the speed with McDougall at the helm again.
With a trouble-free run here, the three-year-old looks set to do it all again in this contest.
