Who were the eyecatchers, who should you add to your black book for upcoming races and meetings and who do we recommended following in the weeks and months ahead?
Race 1: Two-Year-Old Hcp (1300m) – Tron Bolt
The Chris Waller-trained colt came off a big first-up win at Randwick and franked that victory with another top-class effort on Saturday.
Ridden a treat by Siena Grima, he settled near last on the fence travelling well to the turn before coming off heels and once clear, finished over the top of them and went on to score by nearly two lengths on the line.
The Toronado two-year-old looks a very promising type and will only improve from here.
Race 5: BM72 Hcp (1500m) – Island Dream
Second-up on Saturday, the Divine Prophet mare showed a ton of improvement when she beat all but the favourite (stablemate, Ertijaaj) home in this event.
Sam Clipperton settled the mare mid-field early and tracked the stablemate into the home straight before coming off heels and in the run home, took ground off all in front of her, beaten a head on the line.
Chris Waller filled the trifecta for the race but already having won when third-up, Island Dream stood out as the biggest improver from the race and should pick up a win very soon.
Race 10: BM78 Hcp (1200m) – Stardeel
The Bjorn Baker-trained galloper was fresh after five months off the scene on Saturday and settled in the back half of the field, trapped three-wide without cover to the turn before scouting even wider, then finished hard down the centre of track and was too strong in the end, crossing the line a length clear in the 11-strong field.
The Dundeel gelding has come back fit and looks capable of going on with it from here so keep him safe this preparation.
