Bathurst racing takes place on Tuesday, June 16 with a 6-race program set down for the Bathurst racetrack.

We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for  Bathurst racetrack.

Race 1: No.4  Don’t Say Do

The Rod Northam-trained galloper is second-up today and did enough first-up to suggest she can get the job done in this event.

Last start, the Supido filly resumed after six months off the scene and impressed when beating all but one home in a Maiden Plate over 1000m at Warren.

On a Soft 7 that day, apprentice Anna Weatherlake settled her near mid-field on the fence before landing a dream rails run on straightening where she ran home strongly, finishing a notable second in the race.

The three-year-old gets all the favours here from gate one and maps to settle just behind the speed in the small field.

Reece Jones rode the filly on debut and returns for this assignment.

Fitter for that first-up effort and with conditions to suit, she looks the one to beat in this contest.

Race 3: No.4  Reel Crystal

The Nick Olive-trained galloper is high-flying of late and looks well placed here to bring up win number three in this event.

Last start, the Highland Reel filly came off a good win at Canberra when she finished a close-up second in a BM58 Hcp over 2000m at Wagga.

On a Heavy 9 that day, she settled mid-field on the fence before coming off heels near the turn, then in the run home, chased the leader all the way but was unable to bridge the gap, beaten a neck on the line.

Seeing Bathurst for the first time today, she draws nicely in gate two and maps to be mid-field or better on settling.

After steering the ship for her past two runs, Coriah Keatings sticks with the filly for this assignment and with a trouble-free run here, the three-year-old looks the testing material in this contest.

Race 5: No.7  Very Sirius

Davis Pfieffer saddles-up Very Sirius here who has found the podium at her past four starts and looks well placed here to add another one to the resume in this event.

Last start, the well-bred Zoustar filly stepped-out onto the synthetic surface for the first time and finished third in a Class 1 Hcp over 1206m at Canberra.

Sent out a $3.80 favourite, Robyn Freeman settled her third on the fence before scouting wide on the turn and responding well hard riding, she hit the line strongly to grab the minor prize for the race.

Facing BM58 company here, she draws well in gate four and maps to settle in the first half-dozen with Freeman in the saddle again.

Placed in the wet previously, conditions should suit and with a clear run to the line, the three-year-old should prove hard to hold out in this contest.

Race 6: No.12  Indi Springs

The Mack Griffith-trained galloper is in top-shelf form this time in and will take beating in this event.

Last start, the Peltzer filly recorded win number two when she took out a BM58 over 1250m at Gunnedah.

Punters sent her out a white-hot ($1.85) favourite and she didn’t disappoint, leading from barrier to box with Aaron Bullock in charge that day.

Drawn gate nine today, she maps to go forward and settle on the speed with Jean Van Overmeire as the new pilot.

Both career wins have come on rain affected tracks so conditions today look ideal for the filly.

The three-year-old won her maiden here first-up three starts back where she put four lengths on them that day and in her current form, she will take a ton of beating in this contest.
