Ballarat Racing Tips for June 16 – Magnardo to make it nine wins in a row

Here are our best bets from the meeting, which also feature in our coverage of racing from around Australia in Tuesday's daily tips.

Going with Magnardo to keep the streak going in Race 6. The four-year-old has won eight on the trot, going from dominant picnic wins to score at Mornington at her past couple. She overcame a poor start last time before working up to settle handy and still proved too good. The Reece Goodwin mare comes in with a freshen up since then and has the early speed to overcome the wide barrier, while she didnt look out of place in a recent trial on the Synthetic. Stick with her. 

Keen on Life Sentence in the final race of the day at Ballarat. The Matt Cumani-trained galloper flies on the surface, having finished top three in nine starts of the Synthetic, winning four. He comes in off a six-week freshen up and was placed in BenchMark 62 company at Cranbourne two starts ago before a last start 6th at Ballarat. The five-year-old had a near identical camapign at his last prep when switching to the surface for two runs, winning one and placing in another when wide no cover in both. Expect him to settle handy from the barrier and be hard to get past at the business end.
