Warrnambool Racing Tips for September 21 – Captain Redbeard to make it back to back wins

Here are our best bets from the meeting, which is one of three meetings in Australia on Monday that we are covering in our daily tips.

Captain Redbeard can just about make it back-to-back wins when he steps out in Race 7. The Ciaron Maher-trained galloper claimed a Maiden at the track and trip earlier in September in dominant fashion ahead of Papa Rich and Just My Lot, who has since romped to a five-length victory at Hamilton. Captain Redbeard settled midfield before putting the foot down. The son of Per Incanto gets a drier surface but the breed are generally versatile, while he is the only runner in the field to have gone faster than standard benchmark figures at their most recent start. Third up and with improvement to come, he can make the transition to this grade. 

Limosa can turn the tables on Sephia after missing out behind that horse last time when the two clashed at the track and trip on September 3. On that occasion, Limosa drew wide and settled last, while Sephia led and dictated with Limosa issuing the challenge late and just missing. Those two put six lengths on them. Limosa meets the winner 2kg better at the weights and should appreciate a slightly drier surface.
