The Kris Lees-trained galloper is third-up today and looks set to bounce back in this event.
Last start, the Russian Revolution mare was second-up and finished last in a BM64 over 1400m at Newcastle.
Drawn wide in gate nine (of 11), Shannen Llewellyn eased her back to the tail of the field and tracked them into the straight where she found nothing in the run home, putting it down to ‘second-up syndrome’ on the day.
Facing Class 3 company here, she gets the gun-run from gate one and welcomes back Will Stanley who has enjoyed success with her previously.
Already a winner when third-up, she can bounce back here and looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
Race 8: No.9 Tough Guy
Melissa Dennett saddles-up Tough Guy here who is third-up and ticks all the boxes that suggest he is the one to beat in this contest.
Last start, the well-bred Street Boss gelding was second-up and showed improvement when he finished third in a BM82 over 1100m at Scone.
Rory Hutchings settled him mid-field to the turn then still travelling wide, finished well to grab the minor prize, beaten just half a length on the line.
Ideally drawn in gate two here, he maps to settle mid-field or better with cover and has Hutchings steering the ship again.
A track specialist, boasting two wins from his three starts here and already a winner when third-up, he looks the testing material in this contest.
Race 9: No.6 Boomtime Now
High-flying after three starts back, the Wayne Oakenfull-trained galloper only has to overcome the wide gate here to be a real force in this event.
Last start, the Spirit of Boom gelding destroyed his rivals when he broke through for his first win by taking out a Maiden Plate over 950m at Moree.
Settling second in the race, he shadowed the leader along the fence to the turn, then railing like a greyhound, gave them all the slip and raced away to win by more than four lengths on the line.
Jumping from gate 11 (of 14) here, he maps to push forward and settle better than mid-field with Kody Nestor retaining the ride and at his peak today, a ticket on both totes looks the way to go with him in this contest.
