We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for Sunshine Coast racetrack.

Race 3: No.5 Tajawal

The Declan Maher-trained galloper has his second start for the new stable and second-up off a seven-month break, looks set to compete for the major prize in this event.

Last start, the Frankel gelding caught the eye with an impressive first-up effort when he finished a close-fourth in a Class 3 over 1600m at Eagle Farm.

Drawn gate 10 (of 11), he was caught wide most of the way but still ran home strongly, beaten less than a length on the line.

The 1800m looks ideal for him here with Ryan Maloney steering the ship again.

The six-year-old maps to do little or no early work, jumping from gate two and fitter for that first-up effort, he can give this contest a real shake at each-way odds.

Race 7: No.7 Victory Win

Team Archibald saddle-up Victory Win in the big race of the day and running into form at the right time, he looks a genuine winning chance here.

Last start, the Santos gelding came off a BM90 win at Doomben when he franked that effort by beating home Open company on the same track over the 1600m trip.

Ryan Maloney settled him back in the field before tracking wide on the turn and finishing best out wide to claim victory right on the line.

Drawn wide here, he jumps from gate 13 and maps to settle back in the field with new pilot Ben Thompson aboard.

Unbeaten in three starts at the track and currently in winning form, he looks a serious chance of beating the classy Walsh Bay here and take home the Mooloolaba Cup.

Race 8: No.5 Nettuno

The Tony Gollan-trained Nettuno is in great touch of late and with a few gear changes here, looks a winning chance in this event.

Last start, the I Am Invincible gelding did well to beat all but one home in the Listed Weetwood Qlty over 1200m at Toowoomba.

Regular rider Ryan Maloney had him box-seating on settling and while he was no match for the winner (Tavs), conceding him 5.5kgs in the race, he still beat home the rest of the 14-strong field by more than a length on the line.

Freshened-up since that run, he won a recent 850m trial at Doomben and here, Gollan fits a tongue control and lugging bit for this assignment.

Maloney is in pride of place where the six-year-old gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to take a sit back in the field on settling.

Unbeaten in this class and a track specialist, winning three of his five starts at the track and distance, he looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
