The Team Williams-trained galloper is in top-shelf form this preparation and is capable of going on with it in this event.

Last start, the Savabeel gelding was coming off a hat-trick of wins when he stepped-up sharply in grade and couldn’t quite match it with them, finishing mid-field in a BM78, here over 1200m.

William Pike had his sixth ride on the galloper that day where he settled him mid-field on the fence before weaving though traffic and ran home well, beaten just 1.5 lengths on the line.

He drops back to BM72 grade here and has Pike at the helm again.

Drawn wide in gate 11 (of 12), he maps to cross and settle near mid-field and already a two-time winner at the track, he looks up to this challenge and is capable of bouncing back in this contest.

Race 6: No.10 Asphalt

Josh Krispyn saddles-up Asphalt here who has built a picket fence alongside his name and looks well placed here to add another picket in this event.

Last start, the Maschino gelding made it six-straight wins when he took out a BM72, here over 1600m with regular rider Brad Parnham in the saddle.

From gate 10 (of 12), he crossed and settled outside the leader to the turn before taking over inside the final 200m and holding the challenges off to win narrowly on the line.

Better drawn here, he jumps from gate six and maps to cross and be box-seating on settling with Brad Parnham steering the ship again.

In faultless form and unbeaten at the track, he looks the testing material in this contest.

Race 9: No.12 Watch Me Rock

The Team Williams-trained galloper is third-up here and looks set to continue on his winning way in this event.

Last start, the well-bred Awesome Rock gelding rang-up career win number ten when he took out the Group 3 Asian Beau Stakes, here over 1400m.

With William Pike aboard for the 16th time, he sat just behind the speed before timing his run to perfection and finished best to collect the gold medal that day.

This is his biggest test to date as he takes on Group 1 company for the first time but draws perfectly in gate four and maps to settle in the first half-dozen.

Pike is in control again with the five-year-old leaving the gates a winner of eight races from ten starts on this track and a trouble-free run here can see him claim the gold medal for the Railway Stakes.
