Race 5 No.2- Extreme Virtue

Keen on Extreme Virtue in Race 5. The Hayes galloper has finished 3rd and runner-up in her two runs this time in and has just peaked late in both of those. She gets up to the 1600m and improved more than 13 lengths at this stage of her debut campaign when jumping from the 1400m to the 1600m. At her last preparation, she improved more than 11 lengths when going a Ballarat BM64 win over the 1500m to a Caulfield BM80 win over the 1700m. She has the early speed to cross and cross from the barrier and outside of Pariah Pearl, there doesn't seem to be too much pressure up front.

Race 7 No.6- Milford

Milford shapes as an each way player in Race 7. The seven-year-old has had two runs this time in and needed the hitout first up before racing in restricted room when 7th behind Jimmy The Bear at Flemington over the 1600m on May 31. The son of Savabeel has been a noted improver on benchmark figures when third up in the past, while the step up to the 1800m will suit. The blinkers go back on and he should be strong late in the piece.

Race 9 No.15- The Open

The Open has been building up nicely this time in and should be ready to produce fourth. The five-year-old sticks to the 1400m and closed off with the fastest late splits at Sandown last time when 3rd behind Magnapsin. The son of Deep Field went 12.2 lenghts faster than standard benchmark that day, which is the best last start figure of any runner. He has been a firmer in the early betting and won't be too far away in the run from barrier 7. With just the 54kg on his back, he will be hard to hold out at the business end.
