Rosehill Racing Tips for September 13 - Kerguelen has the conditions to win

Race 4: No.11 Seven’s
The Team Archibald-trained galloper is third-up here and with three wins from just seven starts already on the resume, he looks well placed here to to give this event a real shake.
Last start, the Irish-bred gelding came off a first-up win at Canterbury and wasn’t disgraced when finishing a close-up fourth in a BM78, here over the 1500m trip.
From the outside gate, Tom Sherry settled him back on the fence and unable to get clear a crack at them on the turn, had to settle for fourth place after finishing off nicely, beaten just over a length on the line.
Drawn wide again here in gate ten, he maps to cross and settle near mid-field with Braith Nock aboard again.
All three career wins to date have come on wet tracks and with heavy conditions forecast here, at the weights, he looks a serious contender to grab first prize in this contest.
Race 5: No.5 Kerguelen
Joe Pride saddles-up Kerguelen here who has impressed with eight podium finishes from ten career starts to date and in the conditions, looks the one to beat in this event.
Last start, the well-bred Lonhro gelding made light work of the heavy conditions at Randwick when he took out a BM78 over 1200m with Chad Schofield in the saddle for the first time.
Settling mid-field and three-wide early, he kept on improving his position before taking over inside the final 150m and went on with it from there with 60.5kgs on his back.
Stepping up in grade here, Schofield sticks with him and from the ideal draw in gate two, he maps to settle mid-field or better on the fence.
Six previous starts on heavy tracks have resulted in four wins so conditions here look right up his alley and down 2kgs from that last start win, he looks a serious player in this contest.
Race 8: No.5 Raging Force
The Peter Snowden-trained galloper has a four-pronged picket fence alongside his name this preparation and looks set for another win in this event.
Last start, the Cosmic Force gelding made it four-straight victories when he took out the Group 3 San Domenico Stakes, here over 1100m with Tommy Berry aboard.
Settling second on the fence, he took control on straightening and held them all safely at bay, scoring by 1.5 lengths on the line.
Facing his first test at Group 2 level here, Zac Lloyd takes the reins for the first time and from barrier eight, his early gate speed has him crossing and settling in the first half-dozen.
The three-year-old is four from four on wet tracks so conditions here should suit him to a tee and with clear galloping room in the run home, he prove hard to beat in this contest.
