Race 4: No.3 Savatoff
The locally-trained galloper has found his mojo and looks every chance here of bringing-up the hat-trick in this event.
Last start, the Savabeel gelding made it back-to-back wins when he easily accounted for a BM56 field over 1600m at Strathalbyn.
Up slightly in grade here, he has Jake Toeroek sticking with him for this BM62 Hcp over 1541m and from gate 10, maps to cross and settle better than mid-field with cover.
The five-year-old won here two starts back (on the Parks circuit) and currently in winning form, he looks at least an each-way chance in this contest.
Race 7: No.2 Clarence
Will Clarken saddles-up Clarence here who is in top-shelf form of late and looks poised for back-to-back success in this event.
Last start, the well-bred Sir Prancealot gelding found the winning post for the first time this preparation when he took out a BM66, here over 1200m with Kayla Crowther in the saddle.
Settling mid-field early, he made his move on straightening and inside the final 100m, took control and went on to score by more than a length on the line.
Meeting similar company here, he draws ideally ion gate two and maps to settle better than mid-field with Crowther steering the ship again.
If he can find clean air in the run home, he should prove hard to hold out in this contest.
Race 9: No.11 Tropical House
The Jake Stephens-trained galloper is shooting for the hat-trick here and ticks enough boxes that suggest she can achieve that in this event.
Last start, the American-sired mare came off a huge win in Class 2 company when she franked that effort by going back-to-back and taking out a BM66, here over 1600m.
From gate 10, she settled back in the field, trapped four-wide to the turn, before tracking even wider and still finishing too strong, claiming victory in the final 50m of the race.
Drawn much better here in gate three, the four-year-old maps to settle just behind the speed with Matthew Chadwick retaining the ride.
Winning three of his four starts at the track already, a clear run to the line can see him challenging for victory again in this contest.
