Race 4: No.8 Fast Flicker
The Tony Triscari-trained galloper is second-up here and ticks all the boxes that suggest she can take this event out.
Last start, the American-bred mare resumed after 29 weeks off the scene where she finished mid-field in the Listed Belmont Newmarket over 1200m run at Pinjarra.
From gate seven, she was trapped wide the entire trip and did well to beat some home in the process.
Drawn the outside gate (8) here, she maps to cross and settle in the back half of the field with Steven Parnham back in the saddle.
Unbeaten in three previous second-up appearances and a track specialist here as well, the six-year-old can play a major role in the outcome of this contest.
Race 6: No.9 Shmoov Moova
Simon Miller saddles-up Shmoov Moova here who is third-up and looks ready to win again in this event.
Last start, the Territories gelding was second-up and showed plenty of improvement when he beat all but one home in a BM72, here over 1200m with Clint Johnston-Porter in the saddle.
He settled mid-field before scouting wide on the turn and ran home strongly to claim the silver medal in the race.
Drawn well in gate five, he maps to settle just behind the speed and has William Pike returning to steer the ship here.
Fitter for two runs back, he will take beating in this contest.
Race 7: No.9 Essentric Nature
The Team Williams-trained galloper is third-up here and should be ready to produce his best in this event.
Last start, the Savabeel gelding showed some return to form when he beat all but one home, when second-up, here over 1400m.
Chanel Cooper had him settled two pairs back, one off the fence, before scouting wide on straightening and taking over inside the final 100m, only to be grabbed late by a swooper near the line.
Drawn out in gate ten here, he maps to cross and settle near mid-field with cover and boasting a 30% strike-rate with the stable, William Pike returns for his third ride on the five-year-old.
Already a winner when third-up, a trouble-free run here puts him in the mix and looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
