Race 7: No.3 In Flight
The Joe Pride-trained galloper is in red-hot form this time in and ticks enough boxes here to suggest she is a genuine winning chance in this event.
Last start, the Flying Artie mare came off a hat-trick but was unable to keep the trend going, finishing unplaced in the Group 3 Concorde Stakes over 1000m at Randwick.
The five-year-old returns to Rosehill here where she is a two-time winner and steps-up to the 1200m trip for the first time in this Group 3 affair.
From gate seven, she maps to settle better than mid-field with cover and has regular rider Jay Ford steering the ship again.
A trouble-free run should see her fighting out the finish in this contest.
Race 9: No.1 Gringotts
Ciaron Maher saddles-up Gringotts here who is second-up and ready to fire in this event.
Last start, the Per Incanto gelding resumed after five months off the scene and wasn’t disgraced when finishing fifth in the Group 1 Winx Stakes (1400m).
Settling mid-field, he held his own in the run home to finish less than three lengths behind the champion mare Via Sistina.
This is a big drop in grade for him and with regular rider Tommy Berry booked to ride Miss Roumbini, Nash Rawiller is the new pilot for this assignment.
The six-year-old gets the gun-run from gate one here where he maps to settle in the first three or four pairs and already a two-time winner when second-up, he looks to play a major role in the outcome of this contest.
Race 10: No.7 Polyglot
The Michael Freedman-trained galloper is in great touch this preparation and now looks ready to claim victory in this event.
Last start, the Lonhro gelding made it three-straight podium finishes when he claimed third prize in BM78, here over 1100m with James McDonald in the saddle.
Drawn wide in gate 11 (of 12), he settled last (10 lengths off the pace) before tracking wide on the turn and although too far back to threaten victory, still finished strongly to claim the minor prize.
Even fitter here, he meets similar opposition over the same track and distance and with Tommy Berry as the new pilot, he will take beating in this contest.
