Race 2: No.4 Ouroboros
The Matt Hoysted-trained galloper is in top-shelf form this time in and ticks all boxes that suggest he will go on with it in this event.
Last start, the Harry Angel gelding made it a hat-trick of top-two finishes when he beat all but one home in a Class 6 Plate over 1200m at Doomben.
With Damien Thornton in the saddle again, he led from barrier to box, recording a convincing win of two lengths over the line.
Dropping sharply in grade here, he faces Class 3 opposition on track where he is unbeaten in two starts and has Thornton at the helm again.
Ideally drawn in gate two, he maps to be leading them from the outset again and will take a ton of beating in this contest.
Race 6: No.8 Lady Lucifer
Shooting for the hat-trick here, the David Vandyke-trained galloper is high-flying this campaign and looks well placed here to claim victory in this event.
Last start, the Hellbent mare made it back-to-back success when she won a BM70 over 1400m at the Gold Coast.
With Emily Lang remaining aboard, she found the front passing the 800m mark and was never headed, going on to clobber her rivals by 2.5 lengths on the line.
Stepping-up to BM78 company here, the five-year-old draws nicely in gate five where she maps to settle on the speed with Lang steering the ship again.
In career-best form of late, she looks the one to beat again in this contest.
Race 8: No.6 Walsh Bay
The Team Munce-trained galloper just keeps on winning and looks set to claim another victory in this event.
Last start, the Deep Field mare made it five wins from her six starts this preparation when she destroyed her rivals in the Toowoomba Cup over 2000m.
In her usual role, she settled just behind the speed (after jumping from the outside gate, 14) and with regular rider Damien Thornton aboard, made her move over the final 400m, taking over inside the last 200m and going on to claim victory by more than three lengths on the line.
Stepping-up to Listed company here, she also runs over the 2400m for the first time but jumping from gate three, she maps to settle near the fence and will enjoy plenty of cover to the turn.
Carrying a respectable 54.5kgs here, the four-year-old should prove hard to hold out again in this contest.
