The Chris Waller-trained Modesty is three starts back after 12 months off the scene and looks well placed here to bring up his third career win in this event.

Last start, the Irish-bred gelding came off a second-up win on this track when he finished a close-up fourth in a BM78 over 2000m at Kembla Grange.

Tommy Berry was aboard that day and has the ride for this assignment as well where the five-year-old draws gate five and maps to settle better than mid-field with cover.

Fourth-up and at his peak, he should be there at the finish again.

Race 7: No.6 Demiana

Another from the Waller stable is Demiana who is second-up here and looks set to go one better at odds in this event.

Last start, the I Am Invincible mare resumed off a 17-week spell when and impressed when beating all but one home in a BM72 over 1250m at Canterbury.

Kerrin McEvoy was aboard that day and gave the mare every chance, beaten just half a length on the line.

She draws nicely in gate three here and maps to settle in the first half-dozen with cover as McEvoy remains in the saddle.

Already a winner when second-up and has finished runner-up twice in three previous attempts at the track and distance, the five-year-old looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.

Race 10: No.7 Scorch

Team Hawkes saddle-up Scorch here who has six podium finishes from ten starts on his resume and second-up here, looks well placed for back-to-back success in this event.

Last start, the Impending gelding resumed after six-months off the scene and impressed with a solid win against BM72 company over 1250m at Canterbury.

Drawn out here (in gate nine), he still maps to cross and settle in the first half of the field and has Tyler Schiller on board for the first time.

With a trouble-free run here, three career wins can turn into four in this contest.
