Eagle Farm racing takes place on Saturday, December 7, with a 10-race program set for the meeting.

Race 4: No. 2 Ned’s Gully
Race 6: No. 5 I Am Artie
Race 7: No. 2 Transatlantic
Race 8: No. 1 Rothfire

We have the best bets picked out from across day with value selections for Eagle Farm Racecourse.

Race 4: No. 2 Ned’s Gully

This six-year-old gelding is racing very consistently this campaign and he was excellent when beaten by the barest of margins in the Listed Keith Noud at Doomben a month ago.

The sun will be out for a couple of days in Brisbane heading into Saturday which suits and the apprentice will give weight relief with the claim.

Race 6: No. 5 I Am Artie

Has won six of seven starts this campaign and the only loss came at the hands of Bettcha The Crown who he meets 2kg better at the weights in this event.

Jimmy Orman can settle his mount on the speed from barrier five and he’s a horse that has handled all track conditions which is important at the moment in Brisbane.

Race 7: No. 2 Transatlantic

This is a talented and lightly raced son of Snitzel who couldn’t have been any more impressive when scoring by over four lengths on the Sunshine Coast last start.

This is the toughest test of his short career but he’ll be ready to peak now at his third run.

Race 8: No. 1 Rothfire

It’s been almost 12 months since we’ve seen Rothfire but his record speaks for itself.

Six of his 10 career wins have been here at Eagle Farm, eight have been on a good track and his record first up from a spell is excellent.

He’s had two nice trials leading into this first up assignment and although he’s being asked to carry a big weight, he represents good value.
