Race 4: No.8 Misludi
The Phillip Stokes-trained Misludi is high-flying this time in and looks well placed here for back-to-back success in this event.
Last start, the Supido mare ended a hat-trick of minor placings by taking out a Class 2 Hcp, here over 1250m.
Drawn poorly that day in gate 10 (of 11), she settled back in the field but finished too strong in the end, claiming victory by half a length on the line.
She has gate six here and maps to settle in a similar position with Kayla Crowther as the new pilot for this mission.
A last-start winner at the track, she should be there at the finish again.
Race 7: No.5 Jenkins
Another from the Stokes camp is Jenkins who drops in grade here and looks the one to beat again in this event.
Last start, the Pierro gelding came off an unplaced effort in the Gawler Cup when he bounced back and clobbered a BM82 field, here over the 1550m trip.
Coming from last, he took control inside the final 200m and went on to score by three lengths on the line.
He draws wide in barrier eight here but will drop back early anyway and has Dom Tourneur in the saddle for the first time.
This looks even a little easier and already boasting three wins at the track, a clear run home here should see him hard to hold out.
Race 10: No.8 Cararada
The locally-trained galloper is in good touch after four starts this preparation and ticks most boxes to suggest she can bring up her first win on home soil in this event.
Last start, the American-sired mare scored her second win in three starts when she beat home a BM68 field, here on the main track over 1200m.
Rochelle Milnes was aboard that day, having already steered her to victory twice previously from her three rides on the mare.
Nicely drawn in gate four here, she maps to settle in the first half-dozen with Milnes in the driver’s seat again.
She has four minor placings from five starts on the Parks circuit and with a trouble-free run here, she can break the shackles and record her first victory on this track, in this contest.
