Race 1: No.2 Vaniteux
The Team Koch-trained galloper is in top-shelf form of late and looks ideally placed here to make it two-straight in this event.
Last start, the Smart Missile mare claimed her second winner’s cheque in the past three starts when she easily accounted for a Class 2 field over 1350m at Strathalbyn.
With Brooke King aboard, she settled mid-field early before working into the race nearing the turn, then finishing best to win by more than a length over the line.
From gate seven here, she maps to settle in the first half-dozen with King in the saddle again and meeting similar company here, she looks the one to beat in this contest.
Race 6: No.8 Florey
The Jolly & Potter-trained galloper is in career-best form this time in and lines-up here, clearly the one to beat in this event.
Last start, the Churchill mare came off a BM66 win on this track when she faced similar company in the city and beat all but one of them home over the mile trip at Morphettville.
Jake Toeroek backed-up for the ride and settled the mare mid-field in traffic before looking for gaps on the turn when she finally got clear and took the lead close to home but was nabbed by one out wide, beaten a neck on the line.
Coming back to provincial class here, she draws gate six and maps to settle near mid-field with Will Price as the new pilot.
Facing a class rise here, she takes on BM82 company but drops 5kgs in the process and already a track and distance winner here, she looks the testing material in this contest.
Race 10: No.6 Tannenburg
Team Jolly saddle-up Tannenburg here who is three starts into this preparation and now looks set to show his best in this event.
Last start, the Russian Revolution gelding put in a much improved performance when he finished fourth in a Rating 0-66 over 1522m at Morphettville.
Approaching his preferred distance and fitter for two runs back, Caitlin Jones settled him mid-field between runners to the turn and in the run home was never really clear, held-up most of the way but still finished on well to grab fourth prize, beaten just two lengths over the line.
Drawn in barrier eight here, he maps to settle near mid-field with Jake Toeroek as the new pilot.
A winner when fourth-up last preparation, he has his fourth run for the Team Jolly stable here and stepping-up to the 1800m looks ideal for him at this stage.
A trouble-free run and clean air in the run home should see him there at the finish of this contest.
