Race 3: No.1 Blindato
The Andrew Bobbin-trained galloper has impressed after three career starts and looks well placed here to go on with it in this event.
Last start, the Fiorente gelding beat all but one home in a Class 1 over 2050m at Mount Gambier.
He settled mid-field in the run before working into the race then in the run home finished strongly to claim the silver medal, beaten a head on the line.
Drawn the fence, he maps to do no early work as he settles back in the field with Shayleigh Ingelse aboard for the first time.
Fourth-up and at his peak here, the three-year-old can get the job done in this contest.
Race 4: No.6 Flash Alice
Phillip Stokes saddles-up Flash Alice here who is high-flying of late and has the resume that says she can take out this event.
Last start, the Ilovethiscity mare came off a good win on this track when she beat all but one to the line in a BM68 over 1800m in metro class at Morphettville.
On a Heavy 10 that day, Harry Grace settled her back in the field before improving to be just off the pace on the turn, then finished off well to claim the runner-up prize.
Facing similar conditions here, she gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to settle in the first half-dozen with Grace in the saddle again.
Already a track and distance winner, the four-year-old is also proven in the wet and looks a serious challenger in this contest.
Race 6: No.4 Big Rooster
The Symon Wilde-trained galloper is in top-shelf form this time in and making the trip from Victoria here, looks set for back-to-back wins in this event.
Last start, the Shalaa gelding found the podium again when he clobbered his rivals in a BM0-62 over 1500m at Ballarat.
On a Heavy 8 track that day, Tom Stockdale rode him a treat and settled mid-field to the turn where he scored a dream split on straightening, then punched him out to score by two lengths on the line with plenty left in the tank.
Seeing Murray Bridge for the first time, he draws ideally in gate three and maps to settle better than mid-field (on the fence) with Harry Grace taking the reins for this assignment.
This looks no harder than his last-start victory and with a trouble-free run, he should prove hard to beat in this contest.
