The Jon O’Connor-trained galloper impressed on debut and looks well placed here to improve further in this event.

Last start, the Graff gelding faced the starter for the first time and did well to finish third in the set weights Maiden over 1050m at Balaklava.

Andrew Stead settled him back in the field to the turn before gaining a split near the inside and in the run home, while racing greenly to the line, still managed to grab the minor prize in the race.

Stepping-up to the 1200m here, he draws well in gate two and should settle better than mid-field with Stead in the saddle again.

Fitter and more experienced now, the three-year-old now sees a different track for the first time but still looks a major player, second-up in this contest.

Race 7: No.3 Play Bouzouki

The Victorian-based galloper comes here in great touch and ticks enough boxes to suggest his track debut can be a winning one in this event.

Last start, the Flying Artie gelding was fourth-up when he broke through for his first win by taking out a set weights Maiden over 1356m at Donald.

Shayleigh Ingelse was aboard again and settled him mid-field to the turn before finishing over the top of them and raced away to win by almost two lengths on the line.

He makes the trip across the border here and drawn nicely in gate three, maps to settle near mid-field with cover and making the trip over with him, Ingelse maintains the mount for this assignment.

Facing BM56 company, he will be at his peak now and looks the testing material in this contest at odds.

Race 8: No.3 Take A Pick

The Sarah Rutton-trained galloper is third-up here and down in grade today, looks well placed to return to the winner’s circle in this event.

Last start, the Lucas Cranach gelding was second-up and struggled in the conditions when finishing unplaced in a BM62 over 1578m against city class gallopers at Morphettville.

On a Heavy 9 that day, Jason Holder settled him back in the field to the turn before starting a run on straightening, but on the wet track against strong company, he weakened out of it, still lacking a little condition when second-up.

Down in class here, he lines-up against BM0-58 opposition and from gate 13, maps to cross and settle near mid-field with Alysha Warren aboard for the first time.

Placed when third-up previously, the six-year-old is already a track winner and looks better suited in this contest at good each-way odds.
