Morphettville Racing Tips for August 30 - Anthracite looks set to win again

Race 5: No.4 Anthracite
The Gary Boyce-trained galloper has impressed from his two race starts to date and looks every chance of going back-to-back in this event.
Last start, the Mongolian Khan gelding came off a runner-up effort on debut and went one better when he destroyed his opposition in a Murray Bridge Maiden Plate over 1600m.
Todd Pannell remained on board for the ride and after settling just behind the speed, he took control inside the final 350m and left them all in his wake as he crossed the line more than six lengths clear in the end.
Two of the beaten brigade have since broken through for victories.
The five-year-old steps-up sharply in grade here as he takes on Class 2 company but drops in weight and has Pannell steering the ship again.
From gate six, he maps to be parked just behind the early pace and with a clear run home, looks the one to beat in this contest.
Race 6: No.4 Karavas
Team Jolly saddle-up Karavas here who is second-up and looks well placed for back-to-back success in this event.
Last start, the Alabama Express mare resumed off a lengthy nine-month absence and did it in style when she clobbered her rivals in a BM78 over 1000m, here on the Parks circuit.
Drawn the outside gate, Jake Toeroek settled her last of the seven runners but in the run home, finished over the top of them, going on to win by two lengths over the line.
Drawn out again here in barrier eight, she maps to settle back in the field again with Toeroek in pride of place.
Already a winner when second up, the four-year-old looks a genuine winning chance in this contest.
Race 9: No.7 Nostryia
The Kate Halliday-trained galloper is in career-best form this time in and ticks enough boxes to suggest a podium finish is more than possible in this event.
Last start, the Nostradamus gelding made it three-straight top-two finishes when he took out a BM64, here over 1050m with Jason Holder aboard for the first time.
Unwanted in the market ($19), he drew the outside gate (12) and settled back in the field, caught four-wide with cover before fanning wider on the turn and finishing too strong for them, winning by a length on the line.
He draws gate ten in the 16-strong event here and maps to settle near mid-field with Holder at the helm again.
Already a two-time winner at the track and distance, he leaves the gates well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
