Moe racing takes place on Tuesday, September 8, with a competitive country meeting set down for Moe.

Here are our best bets from the meeting, which also feature in our daily tips.

Race 1 No.9- Jourama

Looking for an improved performance from Jourama in Race 4. The Godolphin galloper resumed in a Maiden at Bairnsdale where he was slowly away before working into it at the top of the straight, only to peak late on his run to place 5th. The Freedman stable go for a few gear changes in a bid to overcome his habit of starting slowly and at his only other second career start he spiked big time on benchmark figures to place 4th behind Big Wigs in the $1 million VOBIS Showdown at Caulfield. With luck in running from he wide barrier, he should be hard to hold out at the business end.

Race 4 No.10- Parrot Club

Parrot Club might be worth something at a massive price in Race 4. The five-year-old was a winner at Moe four starts ago in Maiden grade ubt has been well beaten in three runs since then. He settled handy and ran 3rd at the track and trip at his most recent start, landing seven lengths from the winner. This race lacks any semblance of depth. Velvet City is a last start Maiden winner that draws wide, while Midnight Glow is capable but has a habit of botching the start. Parrot Club is one that might work over to sit handy or in the lead on what shapes as a very soft tempo and his best form has been at the track, while the stable put the blinkers on.

Race 7 No.1- King West

King West can go close in the final race of the day at Moe. The Enver Jusufovic-trained galloper was well beaten when 4th over the 1000m when resuming at Sale recently but that performance is better than it looks with the classy performer, Mainmankash enjoying an absolute jog in front before kicking to win by five lengths.  King West drops in grade and his best form has been over the 1200m. The five-year-old can settle leaders back from the inside barrier and save ground, while he will strip fitter at his second run back.
