Moe racing takes place on Friday, July 3, with a program set down for Moe.

Here are our best bets from the meeting, which is one of two on the day to be run in Victoria, coinciding with the meeting at Ballarat.

Race 2 No.2- Eton Affair


Eton Affair can go close in Race 2. The promising galloper has placed in four of his five career starts, finishing runner-up in both of his outings in his current preparation. He was well beaten by Dark Fox when resuming then led before going down late behind Somersault last time at Geelong. Both of those were on Heavy tracks and he has gone within two lengths of standard benchmark figures in both of those, or more than five lengths above the class average for this race. He can either dictate or sit leaders back from barrier 2 and unless one of the first starters can produce something above average on debut, this does look to be his for the taking. 

Race 4 No.7- Overpriced


It was a nice performance by Overpriced at his most recent outing and the Dean Binaisse-trained galloper can go one spot better in this race. His recent run came at the track and trip on a Heavy deck and he was back on a slow tempo, racing keenly before going home early with the fastest splits from the 600m to the 200m. The son of Overshare just peaked on his run late with the race shape counting against him in the end. He draws much better this time around and can land in a better spot, while the stable go for the winkers in a bid to help him settle. 

Race 8 No.8- Mauna Kea Miss


Mauna Kea Miss can end the day a winner. The four-year-old was disappointing last time at Caulfield when dropping out of it but drops sharply in grade and was excellent in a BenchMark 66 at Mornington at her start prior when sticking on well for 3rd after being trapped wide no cover throughout. That came on a Heavy track and she is likely to get similar conditions in this race. The daughter of I Am Immortal draws wide, which might be an advantage late in the day and will be ridden by Sam Kennedy, who strikes at 22% for the stable, providing an 85% profit on investment.
