Race 2: No.6 Parthenon
The Kylie Gavenlock-trained galloper was impressive on debut and looks every chance of going back-to-back in this event.
Last start, the Irish-sired colt faced the starter for the first time and led barrier to box in a Maiden Plate over 1000m at Gosford.
Olivia Chambers had him leading on settling then on straightening, he was challenged for the lead but responded to good riding and beat off the challenger, going on to win comfortably in the end, crossing the line 1.5 lengths clear with plenty in reserve.
Stepping-up to Class 1 company here, he draws gate six and maps to be on the speed with Chambers in the saddle again.
Dominant in that debut win, he should strip even fitter here and after the claim, carries just 54kgs for this assignment and given a trouble-free run, he looks the testing material in this contest.
Race 7: No.12 Narbold
Chris Waller saddles-up Narbold here who has done everything but win this preparation and looks yet again, a winning chance in this event.
Last start, the Churchill gelding found the podium for the sixth time in seven starts this campaign when he beat all but one home in a BM100 over 1500m at Rosehill.
From gate nine (of 10), Tyler Schiller settled him back in the field before tracking wide on the turn, then finishing strongly, he arrived one bound too late and had to settle for second prize in the end.
Drawn wide again here, he maps to settle back near the tail of the field with Tommy Berry as the new pilot.
Dropping back to provincial class racing, he is well weighted in this Listed event and having already placed in Listed company previously, he slots in well for this assignment.
The step-up to the mile trip looks ideal for him here and with a clean run to the line, he looks in the mix to salute in this contest.
Race 8: No.2 Sociable
The Ciaron Maher-trained galloper is in great touch (without winning) this preparation and down slightly in grade today, looks a serious threat to victory in this event.
Last start, the Yes Yes Yes gelding finished bridesmaid for the third time this campaign when he beat all but one to the line in a BM68 Hcp over 1300m at Wyong.
Adam Hyeronimus settled him mid-field early before tracking wide near the turn, then switching back to the inside where he was held-up at a vital stage, then squeezing between runners, finished strong, arriving in time to grab the silver medal in the race.
Dropping back to BM64 opposition here, he draws nicely in gate four and maps to settle better than mid-field with Nash Rawiller as the new pilot.
The five-year-old is as honest as they come, boasting 11 podium finishes from his 16 starts to date, and with a trouble-free run here, he looks every chance of ringing-up his third career-win in this contest.
