Always well back, Zac Lloyd eased her off the fence nearing the turn, then after being held up early, she came off heels and after regaining momentum, hit the line strongly, finishing best over the final 100m, beaten just a length on the post.

Fitter for two runs back now, the four-year-old should be ready to produce her best from here on and looks well worth following.

Another from the Waller stable is Wrathful who was first-up on Saturday after 18 weeks off the scene and came under notice with his finishing efforts in this race.

Sitting last of the 11 runners to the turn, Jason Collett stuck to the inside and passing the 300m mark, he could still see them all before finding a final effort and while crossing the line some 4.5 lengths behind the winner, he was doing the best work of the field in crossing the line.

The former English galloper went around at $101 on Saturday but being a two-time winner when third-up, I doubt we will see those odds alongside his name next start where the seven-year-old will have a little more support in the ring.

The Ciaron Maher-trained mare resumed off a 22-week break on Saturday and did well to grab third prize in this event.

Braith Nock settled her mid-field on the fence before coming off heels on straightening and once she settled down, the five-year-old ran home stoutly but was just one run short of running down the first two past the post, only beaten a length on the line while carrying top weight.

She is a second-up winner and in fact hasn’t missed the podium in three previous second-up appearances so it will pay to keep her in the black book for a few more starts.
