Wodonga Racing Tips for September 1 – Royal Star set to dictate terms in Race 7

Keen on the local galloper, Victrix Swan, in Race 2. The David O’Prey filly has had the three career starts and has placed in both of her runs this time in with those coming at Wodonga on Heavy tracks. She did well in the most recent of those after being posted wide no cover the trip when runner-up behind Star Royal, going four lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is a better figure than what any horse in this race has produced. She should land perfectly this time around from barrier 2 and should be ready to peak third up. 

Star Royal can go on with the job in Race 7. The four-year-old is another local and led them up at Wodonga over the 1400m at the August 17 meeting here on a Heavy track and kicked clear to win by more than three lengths. She should enjoy similar conditions here and posted slick time given the conditions that day. This is not a huge step up and she should be able to cross over without too many concerns from barrier 7. Expect her to be hard to get past.
