Ascot Racing Tips for December 14 - The Boss Lady looks set for back-to-back wins
- Final Siren – strong fresh record; trial winner; gate five
- Keep Attacking – in form; gate two advantage
- The Boss Lady – track specialist; best bet
Ascot racing takes place on Saturday, December 14, with a 9-race program set down for Ascot racetrack.
- Race 2: No.1 Final Siren
- Race 3: No.6 Keep Attacking
- Race 4: No.3 The Boss Lady
We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for Ascot racetrack.
Race 2: No.1 Final Siren
Having his first start for the Rebecca Bayliss stable, Final Siren resumes here and boasting an outstanding fresh record, should prove hard to beat in this event.
Last start, the I'm All The Talk gelding ended his last campaign by beating all but one home in a BM72 over 1000m at Belmont.
He had just four starts in that preparation which all ended in top-two finishes.
On fresh legs here, he comes off a trial win at Albany and draws well in gate five where he maps to settle near the speed with apprentice Brayden Gaerth on board for the first time.
Already a winner at the track and distance and unbeaten in two previous first-up appearances, if he scores the right run here, he could ring-up win number six in this contest.
Race 3: No.6 Keep Attacking
Team Williams saddle-up Keep Attacking here who is in top-shelf form of late and ticks enough boxes to suggest he will play a leading role in the outcome of this event.
Last start, the Snippetson gelding made it four-straight podium finishes when he claimed third prize in a BM66, here over 1200m.
He did it tough from gate 11 (of 13) and after settling mid-field, William Pike drove him home, beaten a neck on the line.
Clint Johnston-Porter has the reins here, already claiming three minor prizes in all three rides on the six-year-old.
Ideally drawn in gate two here, he maps to settle mid-field on the fence and if he can find clean air in the run home, he should prove hard to hold out in this contest.
Race 4: No.3 The Boss Lady
The Michael Lane-trained galloper is a track specialist and fourth-up here, looks the best of the day.
Last start, the Street Boss mare hit top gear third-up when she took out the Listed Jungle Dawn Classic, here over 1400m.
With regular rider Chris Parnham in the saddle, she settled near mid-field and came wide on the turn, finishing best where it mattered.
Parnham sticks with her for this challenge where the competition looks a little easier at the BM78 level and from gate six, she maps to settle near mid-field with cover.
Already six wins from nine starts at Ascot and at her peak here, she looks the pick of the bunch.
