Warrnambool Racing Tips for November 6 – Azzacool hard to beat in Race 6
- Plucky Enuff is tipped in Race 1, facing a weaker maiden than before.
- Kid Dynamite appeals in Race 5, with strong 1000m form and wet track suitability.
- Azzacool can improve in Race 6 if she settles better early.
Warrnambool racing takes place on Friday, November 6, with a quality meeting set down for Warrnambool.
Here are our best bets from the meeting, which is the first of two meetings in Victoria with Cranbourne to follow.
Race 1 No.5 – Plucky Enuff
Plucky Enuff can break through in the opener at the 'Bool. The Robbie Griffiths-trained mare has had two career starts and closed off well from back in the field on debut at Seymour over the 1200m last month when fourth behind Real Comedy, before a last-start effort that saw her stick on for fifth at Pakenham over the 1400m. This looks to be a weaker maiden and she went within four lengths of standard benchmark figures last time, which is a better effort than anything her rivals in this race have produced in their careers to date. Dean Yendall rides and is fresh off a win on Melbourne Cup Day at Flemington. He might be able to position Plucky Enuff a little closer this time around after she drew wide in both previous runs.
Race 5 No.2 – Kid Dynamite
Kid Dynamite should be hard to beat in Race 5, which sees the sprinters in action over the 1000m. The lightly raced five-year-old has had just seven career starts for two wins, both coming over the 1000m. He resumed over the distance at Warrnambool recently and was unlucky to miss out in very narrow fashion behind Salaria, going a very respectable five lengths faster than standard benchmark figures. Second-up at his last campaign, the son of Hallowed Crown improved more than four lengths on figures when a desperately unlucky runner-up at Seymour. He should improve from his recent effort and the prospect of a wet track won't hurt his chances.
Race 6 No.7 – Azzacool
Azzacool can be an improver in Race 6. The Ciaron Maher-trained galloper has had just one start this time in for a sixth at Mildura over the 1200m. She drew awkwardly and was posted wide throughout but stuck on okay behind Razzo Rosso in a race that has already produced a couple of winners. At her debut preparation, the four-year-old went from a fourth on debut at Yarra Valley to consecutive wins at Seymour and Pakenham before taking on the likes of Extragalactic at Flemington. The daughter of Aza Beel might look to settle a fraction closer this time around and, with any luck finding a spot early on, she can get the job done.
