Wagga racing takes place on Sunday, June 21 with a 7-race program set down for the Wagga racetrack.

We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for  Wagga racetrack.

Race 5: No.5  Bon Frankie

The Aaron Clarke-trained galloper is three starts into this preparation and back off a city campaign, looks well placed to bounce back and give this event a real shake today.

Last start, the Bon Hoffa gelding found the city class company a little too slick when he finished unplaced in a BM72 over 1400m on the Kensington circuit at Randwick.

Sent out a $20 chance, Amy McLucas settled him back in the field after a slow start and in the run home, past a few to finish before finishing sixth across the line.

Stepping-up to the mile trip today, he draws ideally in gate two and maps to settle just behind the speed with Dale Cole as the new pilot.

Returning to country class opposition here and at his peak after those three runs back, he can figure in the finish of this contest.

Race 6: No.12  Witch Of November

Third-up today, the Wayne Carroll-trained galloper has a healthy record on wet tracks and looks a serious player in this event.

Last start, the Starspangledbanner mare made it two-straight runner-up finishes when she beat all but one home in a BM50 over 1200m at Narrandra.

Lumping 61kgs, Brodie Loy had her box-seating on settling to the turn before gaining a split on straightening, then chased the leader all the way home but was unable to bridge the gap, taking home second prize in the race.

A slight rise in class here, she takes on BM58 company today with Teaghan Martin as the new pilot and after the claim, drops 5.5kgs for this assignment.

Well drawn in gate six, she maps to settle better than mid-field and already a winner when third-up, looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.

Race 7: No.5  Ziggy Rose

Danielle Seib saddles-up Ziggy Rose here who comes off a metro-class assignment and looks well-placed to bounce back in this event.

Last start, the D'argento mare finished unplaced in a BM64 over 1900m at Canterbury.

Drawn the outside gate (9), she settled last with Shaun Guymer in the saddle and trailed the field to the turn before tracking wide and whilst never a winning chance, still ran home fairly to beat a couple to the line.

Back to country class racing today, she draws well in gate six where she maps to do little work and settle in the back half of the field with Guymer aboard for his tenth ride on the grey mare.

The stable replace the winkers for the blinkers again and at her peak after three runs back, the four-year-old looks a major threat in this contest.
