Race 5: No.3 Aisle Two
The Team Price-trained galloper is second-up today and looks every chance of going one better in this event.
Last start, the Shooting to Win mare resumed after four months off the scene and impressed when she beat all but one home in a BM72 over 1300m at Randwick.
Adam Hyeronimus settled her back in the field to the turn before securing a dream rails run and finished strong, arriving in time to claim the silver medal.
Nicely drawn in gate two, she maps to do no early work and settle near mid-field with Siena Grima aboard for the first time.
Fitter for that first-up run, the step-up to the 1400m looks ideal here and with a trouble-free run she lines-up as a strong each-way chance in this contest.
Race 6: No.13 Street Artist
Team Freedman saddle-up Street Artist here who has been thereabouts in his four starts back and should now be ready to strike in this event.
Last start, the Super Seth gelding wasn’t disgraced when finishing unplaced in a strong BM78 over 1000m down the straight course at Flemington.
At barrier rise, Jamie Mott took him to the outside fence and had a share of the lead, then inside the final 200m the early speed took its toll where he weakened out of it, still beaten only two lengths in the end.
The gelding faces similar company here as he makes his Sydney debut and from gate 10 maps to cross and settle mid-field or better with Zac Lloyd as the new pilot.
The stable remove the blinkers for this assignment and given a clear run home, the four-year-old can figure in the finish of this contest.
Race 9: No.12 Rolling Magic
The Team Freedman-trained galloper is second-up here and ticks enough boxes to suggest he can go back-to-back in this event.
Last start, the Per Incanto gelding resumed after four months in the paddock and while unwanted in the market ($16), clobbered his rivals when he took out a BM72 Midway Hcp, here over 1300m.
From gate three, he settled just behind the speed before coming off heels on the turn, then in the run home, finished too strong for them and went on to score by more than two lengths on the line.
Facing Open company here, he draws well again in gate three and maps to be parked right behind the early pace setters with Tyler Schiller aboard for the first time.
He carried top weight (60kgs) to victory last start while here he comes in on the limit with just 52kgs on his back for this assignment.
Already a winner when second-up and a two-time winner at the track, he looks the testing material in this contest.
