Doomben racing takes place on Saturday, August 15 with a 9-race program set down for the Doomben racetrack.

Tony Gollan saddles-up Braveheart here who is in sensational form this time in and looks set to land another win in this event.

Last start, the I Am Invincible gelding made it seven-straight podium finishes when he claimed victory in a Class 3 set weights event, here over 1200m.

Drawn the outside gate (10) that day, Leah Martyn had him leading from the outset to the turn, then found a second wind and held them all at bay to claim the gold medal.

From gate seven here, he maps to cross and settle in the first half-dozen with Bella Youngberry as the new pilot for this assignment.

Hard to fault his form at the moment and already a two-time winner at the track, he looks the testing material in this contest.

Race 8: No.7 Tornado Express

The Brent Gray-trained galloper is high-flying lately and down in grade here, looks a prime candidate for the major prize in this event.

Last start, the Toronado mare made it four-straight top-three finishes when she beat all but one home in a BM85 Hcp, here over 1350m.

She settled mid-field to the turn before crossing heels and in the run home, looked the winner before being grabbed by swooper right on the line, leaving her with second prize on the day.

Dropping back to BM78 company here, she draws gate six and maps to settle better than mid-field with Sean Cormack back to steer the ship.

Already placed three times at the track and in good form, she looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.

Race 9: No.6 Taltarni Fields

The Kelly Schweida-trained galloper has found his mojo this preparation and looks wel placed here for another bold effort in this event.

Last start, the Deep Field gelding came off a good win when he beat all but one to the line in Open company, here over 1110m.

Jace McMurray had him settled fourth, one off the fence to the turn, then in the run home fought it out with several others and in a blanket finish, grabbed second prize on the line.

Meeting similar company here, she draws gate 12 and with her early gate speed, maps to cross and settle in the first half-dozen.

A track specialist in his own right, he boasts four wins and five minor placings from his 10 starts at Doomben and already a winner when fourth-up, he looks a serious threat to victory in this contest.
