Belmont racing takes place on Saturday, August 15 with an 8-race program set down for the Belmont racetrack.

Race 2: No.4 Pin Deep

The Team Gangemi-trained galloper is high-flying after two runs back and looks well placed here for back-to-back success in this event.

Last start, the Deep Field gelding showed further improvement when he clobbered his opposition in a Rating 72 Hcp, here over 1000m.

Clint Johnston-Porter settled him right behind the speed to the turn before peeling off heels and soon after straightening, took control and went on to score comfortably by more than a length on the line.

Meeting similar company here, he gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to be box-seating on settling with Johnston-Porter in the saddle again.

All stats are positive with the six-year-old who looks the one to beat again in this contest.

Race 4: No.6 Eternal Romance

The Team Pearce-trained galloper is in great touch this time in and looks ideally placed here for second successive win in this event.

Last start, the British-sired mare was third-up when she claimed her third career win in a Class 3 Hcp over 1600m at Northam.

Tash Faithfull settled her mid-field early before tracking wide on the turn then coming down the middle of the track, finished over the top of them and went on to score by a length on the line.

From gate six here, she maps to settle mid-field with cover and has Lucy Fiore returning for her tenth ride on the mare.

Already a track and distance winner and at her peak here, the five-year-old looks hard to beat in this contest.

Race 7: No.11 Lillian

Michael Grantham saddles-up Lillian here who is back in winning form and looks well placed to win again in this event.

Last start, the War Decree mare bounced back from an unplaced first-up effort when she clobbered her rivals in a Ratig 72 Hcp, here over 1600m.

On a Heavy 8 that day, she drew the outside gate (11) and William Pike settled last in the field before tracking wide on the turn, then as the widest runner in the field, stormed home to grab the first prize, winning by almost two lengths on the line.

The mare steps-up to Rating 84 class here and from barrier eight, she maps to settle out the back again with Pat Carbery as the new pilot.

She carried 59.5kgs to victory last start and here, comes in on the limit, carrying just 54.5kgs.

Already a winner when third-up and now a track and distance winner as well, the five-year-old will take plenty of beating in this contest.
