Michael Hickmott saddles-up Extinguish here who is third-up today and looks set to go one better in this event.

Last start, the Proisir mare finished the bridesmaid again when she beat all but one home in a BM66 Hcp, here over 1400m.

On a Heavy 8 that day, she settled second, one off the fence to the turn, then in the run home, battled it out with one other and just missed out on the win, beaten half a length on the line.

Meeting similar company here, she draws well in gate five and maps to be on or near the speed on settling.

Fitter for those two runs back, she is already a winner when third-up and yet to miss a top-two finish at the track.

Todd Pannell has ridden her to victory twice previously and returns to steer the ship in this assignment.

Boasting a strong record on wet tracks, conditions look ideal for her and with a trouble-free run here, she looks the testing material in this contest.

Race 6: No.7 Sassy Little Miss

The Jon O’Connor-trained galloper is in great touch this preparation and looks a shoe-in for back-to-back success in this event.

Last start, the Hanseatic mare bounced back from a disappointing effort at Murray Bridge when she claimed her second win in a Class 2 Hcp, here over 1000m.

Unloved at $19, the mare settled back in the field early before tracking wide on the turn and despite spotting them a big start, stormed home to grab the gold medal on the line.

This event looks no harder and from gate five, she maps to settle near mid-field with cover.

Caitlin Tootell has steered the mare to both career wins to date and has the job again for this assignment.

Fourth-up and at her peak here, the four-year-old should prove hard to hold out again in this contest.

Race 7: No.6 The Cosmic One

The Travis Doudle-trained galloper is in good touch with two wins so far this time in and ticks enough boxes to suggest he can play major role in the outcome of this event.

Last start, the Cosmic Force gelding clobbered his rivals in a BM64 Hcp, here over 1250m.

Lumping 60kgs that day, he settled second early to the turn, then coming off heels, he hit top gear and taking over halfway home, went on to score by 2.5 lengths on the line.

He steps-up to BM72 grade here but drops in weight accordingly and from gate seven, maps to cross and settle just behind the speed.

Now a two-time winner at the track and distance, Ben Price sticks with him here and at his peak now, he looks the one to beat in this contest.
