Race 6: No.9 Just Glamourous
The Joe Pride-trained galloper is in great touch two starts back and looks ideally placed here to go on with it in this event.
Last start, the Justify mare came off a first-up win and beat all but home in a BM72 over 1300m at Warwick Farm.
Enjoying a trail right on the leader’s heels, she peeled out on the turn and despite chasing hard all the way home was unable to bridge the gap, taking home the silver medal for the race.
Drawn well in gate six, she maps to settle in the first half-dozen with Adam Hyeronimus sticking with her for this assignment.
Fitter for two runs back, the five-year-old looks a major player in this contest.
Race 7: No.3 Rotagilla
Chris Waller saddles-up Rotagilla here who drops in grade and ticks enough boxes to suggest a win is on the cards for him in this event.
Last start, the All Too Hard gelding came off a BM94 win at Randwick when he stepped-up to Listed company and not disgraced, finished fourth in The Coast over 1600m at Gosford.
Settling mid-field on the fence, he came off heels on the turn but was cut-out soon after and had to re-balance before hitting the line strongly and was only beaten 1.5 lengths on the line.
Stepping-up to the 2000m here looks ideal for him where he gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to settle better than mid-field on the fence with Nash Rawiller back for his second ride on the gelding.
Fourth-up and at his peak, the track specialist already has three victories on the Randwick track and with a clear run to the line, he can add another one to his resume in this contest.
Race 8: No.13 Glad You Think So
The John Sargent-trained galloper has found his mojo this campaign and looks right in the thick of things in this event.
Last start, the So You Think gelding racked-up win number five when he easily accounted for a BM78 field over 1800m, here on the Kensington circuit.
Ridden a treat by Sienna Grima, he was box-seating on settling to the turn, then despite giving the leader three lengths on straightening, he made-up the ground quickly and went on to win by 1.5 lengths on the line.
From gate nine, he maps to push forward and settle better than mid-field with Ash Morgan as the new pilot.
At his peak after three runs back, he has a recent trial win to his name as well an d despite the class rise here, the five-year-old still looks a winning chance in this contest.
