We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for Doomben racetrack.
Race 1: No.10 Larrikin Rogue
The Chris Anderson-trained galloper is second-up here and ticks the right boxes that suggest he will take beating in this event.
Last start, the Flying Artie gelding resumed off a 19-week spell and found the podium when finishing third in a BM78 over 1400m at the Gold Coast.
Slowly away, he settled back near the tail of the field before working into the race nearing the turn.
Ben Thompson looked for gaps on the inside and once clear, ran home strongly to grab the minor prize on the line.
Fitter for that run, the step-up to the mile trip here looks ideal for him where he gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to do no work early as he settles back in the field with Jason Collett aboard for his third ride on the gelding.
Already a two-time winner when second-up, a clear run to the line here should see him figure in the finish of this contest.
Race 2: No.14 Balance The Books
The Tony Gollan-trained galloper is third-up here and unbeaten at the track, looks set to rack-up another win in this event.
Last start, the well-bred Capitalist mare was second-up when she beat all but one home in a BM78 over 1000m at Eagle Farm.
On a Heavy 8, she settled back in the field before scouting wide on the turn when she finished hard down the centre of the track and looked home but was grabbed by one better on the day, beaten half a length on the line.
From barrier eight, she maps to take a sit back in the field and stepping-up to the 1200m which will suit her now.
Ben Thompson is the new pilot and already two from two at the track and distance, the four-year-old should prove hard to hold out in this contest.
Race 7: No.11 Chispa
Chris Waller saddles-up Chispa here who is in top-shelf form and looks set to improve even more in this event.
Last start, the Savabeel filly clobbered her rivals in a BM64 over 1800m on the Kensington circuit at Randwick.
Sent out an even-money favourite, she gave her supporters no cause for alarm and after settling mid-field early, finished far too strong in the run home, putting almost three lengths on them over the line with James McDonald (J.Mac) in the saddle.
She crosses north of the border for the first time here and draws ideally in gate four where she maps to settle near mid-field with J.Mac making the trip north and steering the ship again.
The 1800m trip proved no trouble at all last start so the 2000m here looks ideal for her at this stage of her campaign and a trouble-free run here should see her hard to hold out in this contest.
