Race 2: No.6 Mangifera
The Rob Gulberti-trained galloper is high-flying this preparation and looks ideally placed to chalk-up another win in this event.
Last start, the War Chant mare was shooting for the hat-trick when she beat all but one to the line in a Hcp over 1500m at Ascot.
From the outside gate (11), she did plenty of early work which cost her in the end, but was beaten just a long neck on the line with Lucy Warwick in the saddle.
She gets the gun-run from gate one here and maps to be box-seating on settling with Warwick retaining the ride (after steering the mare to all three career wins to date).
In career-best form and ideally drawn, she looks the testing material in this contest.
Race 5: No.5 Shazair
Paul Roberts saddles-up Shazair here who has found the podium at her past four starts and looks set to make it five-straight in this event.
Last start, the Al Maher mare came off a Class 3 win at Bunbury when she meet similar company on the same track and finished third in the 1675m event.
Lumping 60kgs, she drew the outside gate (10) and after settling mid-field early, did a mighty job to arrive in time and claim the minor prize in the race.
Drawn much better here in gate four, she maps to settle just off the speed with cover and has Lucy Warwick in the saddle again.
In career-best form now, the four-year-old will take beating in this contest.
Race 9: No.6 So Nataya
The Luke Fernie-trained galloper is two starts back from a 17-week break and now looks ready to win.
Last start, the So You Think mare showed plenty of improvement when she finished third in a Class 5 Hcp, here over 1400m.
Leading on settling, she fought hard in the run home but was grabbed by two better on the day, taking home the minor prize.
Dropping back to the 1300m trip here, she draws well in gate two and maps to settle in the first half-dozen with Chris Parnham returning for the ride in search of his fourth win with the mare.
Already a winner when third-up and has previous success at the track, the five-year-old looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
