Race 2: No.2 Cha Ching King
The Andrew Dale-trained galloper has impressed after just two races starts and looks well placed here for back-to-back success in this event.
Last start, the all Australian-bred gelding went one better than his debut effort when he recorded his first win by taking out a set weights Maiden over 1000m at Wangaratta.
From a wide draw, Logan McNeil settled him back in the field to the turn and despite hanging badly throughout, still finished over the top of them and went on to score comfortably by more than a length on the line.
The Victorian-based galloper crosses the border for his first look at the Morphettville track where he draws nicely in gate three and maps to settle in the first half-dozen with McNeil making the trip and taking the reins again.
The 1100m looks ideal for him here and with a trouble-free run he can figure in the finish and is well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
Race 6: No.8 Australia Forever
The Team Stokes-trained galloper is in top-shelf form this time in and looks well placed here to claim another victory in this event.
Last start, the Australia mare made it win number two for this preparation when she claimed victory in a BM0-68 over 1400m, here on the Parks circuit.
Will Price settled her mid-field to the turn, then tracking wide she came down the outside to reel in the leaders and arrive in time to score by a length on the line.
From gate nine, she maps to settle back in the field with Price in the driver’s seat again.
At her peak here and in such good form, the four-year-old looks a genuine winning change in this contest.
Race 7: No.8 Bassett Babe
Andrew Gluyas saddles-up Bassett Babe here who is second-up and ticks the boxes that suggest back-to-back wins can happen in this event.
Last start, the Wootton Bassett mare resumed after 18-weeks off the scene and impressed when taking out a BM78 over 1000m, here on the Parks circuit.
Jason Holder settled her last and trapped three-wide to the turn before scouting around the field, then in the run home, finished strongly to arrive in time and claim the gold medal in the race.
Drawn the fence here, she maps to settle just behind the speed and after steering her to victory twice previously, Taylor Johnstone returns for this assignment.
Taking on Listed company here, she has placed in a Group 3 event previously and already a winner when second-up, the four-year-old will take beating in this contest.
