Doomben racing takes place on Saturday, September 12 with a 10-race program set down for the Doomben racetrack.

The Tony Gollan-trained galloper is high-flying this preparation and looks well-placed for back-to-back success in this event.

Last start, the son of The Autumn Sun rang-up win number six when he took out a BM85 over 1600m at Eagle Farm.

Daniel Moor had him camped mid-field on settling to the turn before scouting wide then down the centre of the track, ran home strongly and eventually reeled them in to grab the win near the post.

The step-up to the 2020m here looks ideal for him now where he draws the outside gate nine and maps to cross and settle back in the field.

In sensational form boasting 12 podium finishes from 14 starts to date and already a track and distance winner here, the five-year-old will take plenty of beating in this contest.

Race 3: No.2 Last Command

The Michael Freedman-trained galloper is third-up here and down in grade, looks well placed to return to his best form in this event.

Last start, the Tassort gelding took on harder company and finished unplaced in the BM85 Hcp over 1600m at Eagle Farm.

With Jace McMurray aboard, he settled near the tail of the field before tracking wide on the turn, then in the run home, chased them all the way but finished up three lengths from the winner on the line.

Dropping back to BM78 company here, he maps to settle back in the field again from gate 12 with Jai Williams aboard for the first time.

Fitter for two runs back and already a winner when third-up, the five-year-old can figure here and is well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.

Race 10: No.4 Fleetwood

Tony Gollan saddles-up Fleetwood here who is third-up and down sharply in weight, looks in the mix to figure in the finish of this event.

Last start, the Encryption gelding improved off his first-up effort when he beat all but one home in a Class 6 Hcp over 1000m at Eagle Farm.

Jade Hampson had him settled just off the speed, box-seating to the turn before crossing heels and in the run home, chased his stablemate (Moulin Miss) all the way to the line, unable to bridge the gap and settling for second prize in the event.

Fitter for those two runs back, he jumps from gate six here and maps to settle back in the field with Cejay Graham as the new pilot.

Down 3kgs from that last-start effort, the six-year-old looks every chance of taking out this contest.
