Last start, the Proisir gelding finished runner-up again when he beat all but one home in the Listed John Letts Cup, here over 1800m.

Manoel Nunes settled him mid-field and he ran home strongly enough to grab second prize.

He maps to settle in a similar position here as he jumps from gate six with Nunes remaining on board for the ride.

Fourth-up here, he should be at his peak and already a two-time winner on the track, looks one of the main chances in this contest.

Race 8: No.4 Tosen Water

The Searle & Callanan Camp saddle-up Tosen Water here who is third-up and looks in the mix at odds in this event.

Last start, the Tosen Stardom mare improved off her first-up effort when she beat all but one home in a BM68, here over 1250m.

Jacob Opperman settled her last of the eight runners but she produced a big finish in the run home and although not a winning chance, did manage to beat the rest to the line.

Opperman steers the ship again for this assignment and much better drawn in gate two, the five-year-old maps to settle closer here, just behind the speed.

The mare is a track and distance winner and has four podium finishes from eight appearances on the Morphettville track, and fitter for two runs back, she looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
