Race 3: No.5 Zebella
Phillip Stokes saddles-up Zebella here who is second-up and ticks the boxes that suggest she is the one to beat in this event.
Last start, the Zebedee mare resumed off a 15-week spell and impressed when she beat all but one home in a BM80 over 1250m, here on the Parks circuit.
Taylor Johnstone had her leading from barrier rise and set a solid pace before being grabbed on the post by one better on the day.
Dropping back to the 1100m trip here, the six-year-old meets similar company and has Johnstone in the saddle again.
From gate three, she maps to be leading the way again and fitter for those two runs and a track and distance winner as well, she looks the one to catch in this contest.
Race 5: No.8 Flaming Navy
The Travis Doudle-trained galloper is third-up here and set for back-to-back success in this event.
Last start, the US Navy Flag gelding improved of his first-up effort when he destroyed his Class 1 rivals over the mile at Balaklava.
Caitlin Tootell was legged aboard that day and had the gelding leading the way soon after the jump where he gave them all a galloping lesson, crossing the line seven lengths clear in the end.
Stepping up to 1800m here, Tootell has the reins again and after the claim, the four-year-old carries 3.5kgs less as he takes on BM68 company.
Even fitter for two runs back, he will be the one they have to catch in this contest.
Race 8: No.13 Isla’s Fury
The Team Jolly-trained galloper is second-up here and after a successful return to the track, looks the one to beat in this event.
Last start, the Exceedance mare resumed after six months in the paddock and on fresh legs, broke through for her first career win, taking out a Maiden Plate over 1000m, here on the Parks Circuit.
From gate one, Jacob Opperman settled her on the speed where she remained and crossed the line more than three lengths clear in the end.
The four-year-old faces Class 1 company here with Caitlyn Munro as the new pilot.
After the claim, she carries 3kgs less than last start and ideally drawn in gate four, maps to settle on the speed again.
Down in weight and fitter for that first-up win, she will take catching in this contest.
