Race 4: No.3 Mazis
Team Archibald saddle-up Mazis here who is high-flying after two starts back and looks ideally placed here for another victory in this event.
Last start, the American Pharoah gelding came off a first-up win when he beat all but one home in a Class 3 Plate, here over 1810m with Ryan Maloney in the saddle.
Mid-field early, he scouted wide on the turn and finished strongly, beaten a neck on the line with 60kgs on his back.
Meeting similar company here, he drops a little in weight and had Maloney steering the ship again.
Nicely drawn in gate four, he maps to be settle mid-field again with cover and even fitter for two runs back, he should prove hard to hold out in this contest.
Race 7: No.10 Spirit Of Barty
The Tony Gollan-trained galloper was impressive on debut and looks well placed here to repeat the effort in this event.
Last start, the Spirit Of Boom filly d her racing debut and did it in style when she beat home a 15-strong field in a 1000m Maiden Plate at the Sunshine Coast.
Emily Lang settled her mid-field before weaving through traffic and finding clean air at the right time, finishing over the top of them in the end to score by a length on the line.
Ideally drawn here in gate three, she maps to settle mid-field (on the fence) with Lang in the saddle again.
Second-up and even fitter, the three-year-old looks a genuine winning chance in this contest.
Race 9: No.7 Naval Seal
The Chris Waller-trained galloper is in great touch after two starts back and third-up here, looks a major player for victory in this event.
Last start, the well-bred Snitzel gelding came off a first-up win at Toowoomba when he stepped up in grade and wasn’t disgraced, finishing third in a BM78 over 1600m at Doomben.
Fitter for those two runs back, he draws nicely in gate three here and has Ryan Maloney sticking with him for this assignment.
Placed four times previously from six starts at the track, the seven-year-old looks well placed to bring up his first win at Eagle Farm in this contest.
