The Luke O’Connor-trained galloper is third-up here and ticks all the boxes that suggest he is the testing material in this event.

Last start, the Starspangledbanner gelding wasn’t far away when finishing fourth in a BM76 over 1600m at Murray Bridge.

Trying to lead all the way, Jackson Murphy pushed him forward from gate seven and determined to find the front, crossed and led them to the turn. Then in the run home, held his own and boxed-on strongly but the fast pace he set got the better of him, finishing just behind the placegetters, beaten half a length on the line.

Back on home soil here, he draws gate nine and maps to cross and sit just behind the early speed with Murphy in the saddle again.

Unbeaten in three starts on the Parks circuit and two from two when third-up, he will strip even fitter and should prove hard to beat in this contest.

Race 8: No.12 Invertational

Will Clarken saddles-up Invertational here who is in good touch of late and looks set to shine in this event.

Last start, the Invader mare bounced back from an unplaced effort on the main track here when she clobbered her rivals in a BM64, on the Parks track over 1250m.

Rochelle Milnes settled her mid-field near the fence to the turn before weaving through traffic and once clear, stormed home to win comfortably, crossing the line almost two lengths clear in the end.

Drawn the fence here, she maps to do no early work and settle in the back half of the field with Milnes steering the ship again.

Stepping-up in class here, she drops 5.5kgs for this BM84 assignment and already a track and trip winner and boasting a strong wet track record, the six-year-old looks a major player for victory and well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.

Race 9: No.10 So Polite

The Gawler-based galloper is three starts into this preparation and now looks ready to produce her best in this event.

Last start, the Grunt mare showed plenty of improvement when she finished third in a BM56 over 1050m at Balaklava.

Drawn the outside gate (11) that day, she settled third, trapped three-wide to the turn and in the run home, finished strongly but the extra ground travelled took its toll, seeing her weaken in the final 100m, beaten 1.5 lengths on the day.

Drawn much better in gate four here, she maps to settle near the speed with cover and has regular rider Teagan Voorham at the helm for this assignment.

Fourth-up and at her peak, the four-year-old should prove hard to hold out in this contest.
