The Victorian galloper sees the Morphettville track for the first time here and third-up, has the form on the board to suggest he can figure in this event.
Last start, the well-bred Written Tycoon colt was second-up when he impressed by beating all but one home in Listed company at Flemington down the straight course over 1100m.
Unwanted by punters ($41), he settled mid-field before finishing strongly and crossing the line just half a length behind the winner with Zac Spain aboard.
Spain crosses the border with him to take the reins here and from gate seven, the three-year-old maps to settle mid-field with cover.
Even fitter for two runs back now, he looks a winning chance in this contest.
Race 6: No.5 Tippa
Team Cahill saddle-up Tippa here who is second-up and with a glowing track record, looks set to give this event a real shake.
Last start, the four-year-old resumed after 18 weeks off the scene and wasn’t disgraced when finishing fifth (of 13) in the Listed Matrice Stakes, here over 1200m.
After settling two pairs back, one off the fence, he battled home gamely to finish 3.5 lengths from the winner with his lack of race fitness his biggest enemy that day.
Fitter for that run, he lines-up here ideally drawn in gate two where he maps to settle just behind the speed and on the fence with Premiership-leading rider Rochelle Milnes back in the saddle, who has steered the galloper to five of his seven career wins to date.
A trouble-free run here can see the gelding there at the finish and looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
Race 7: No.9 Aviatress
The Team Jolly-trained Aviatress is second-up here and ticking all the boxes in this event, looks the one to beat.
Last start, the well-bred Smart Missile mare resumed off a five-month absence and impressed when she clobbered her rivals in the Listed Matrice Stakes, here over 1200m.
Jumping from gate one, Jake Toeroek had her box-seating on settling and being sent out a red-hot $1.95 favourite, gave her backers no cause to worry as she put almost two lengths on the 13-strong field over the line.
Toeroek remains at the helm for this assignment after steering the mare to five of her six career wins to date and from gate one (again), she maps to settle in the first half-dozen but off the speed.
She takes on Group 3 company here but has enjoyed success at that level previously when taking out the Northwood Plume Stakes at Caulfield three starts back.
The four-year-old is a track specialist here, boasting three wins from her five race starts at Morphettville and already a winner when second-up, looks the testing material in this contest.
