Moonee Valley racing takes place on Saturday, October 26, with a 10-race program for the Victorian meeting.

Moonee Valley Race 2 No. 1- Ikasara
Moonee Valley Race 4 No. 7- Polymnia
Moonee Valley Race 7 No. 7- Celui
Moonee Valley Race 9 No. 6- Pride Of Jenni

We have the best bets picked out from across the day with value selections for Moonee Valley Racecourse.

Moonee Valley Race 2 No. 1- Ikasara

Keen on Ikasara in Race 2 at the Valley. The Waterhouse/Bott galloper comes down from Sydney and led them up in the Group 2 Roman Consul Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill on October 12 before just fading late in the piece behind Switzerland. That form looks good for this and the son of I Am Invincible should be ready to peak third up, while he might enjoy a soft lead after drawing barrier 2.

Moonee Valley Race 4 No. 7- Polymnia

Keen on another that comes down from Sydney in Race 4 and it is Polymnia that can go one spot better than a last start effort that saw her finish runner-up at the Kensington track at Randwick. That came behind Colophon and she settled back before clocking the fastest last 200m. The daughter of Dundeel should be suited by the step up to the mile, while James McDonald jumps on board.

Moonee Valley Race 7 No. 7- Celui

Best Value comes up in Race 7 and it is Celui that is worth thought at a nice price. The four-year-old comes off a last start 6th behind Bellatrix Star when doing a few things wrong at Caulfield. She has a couple of lengths to make up on Oscar’s Fortune but that race looks the form reference for mine and she should be an improver at her third run back from a spell. The Brent Stanley-trained galloper improved eight lengths on benchmark figures at this stage of her last preparation to lead all the way at Caulfield, while she has a solid record at the Valley and can lead or box seat after drawing barrier 2.

Moonee Valley Race 9 No. 6- Pride Of Jenni

Pride Of Jenni ticks plenty of boxes in her quest to take out the weight-for-age championship. She should thrive at the Valley and was a winner at the circuit two starts ago in the Feehan Stakes (1600m), opening up a big margin before winning by just under two lengths from Mr Brightside. Her last run over the 2000m was her Queen Elizabeth Stakes demolition job in the autumn and I have no issues with her on the short back-up whatsoever, as she was unstoppable off a one-week break at Flemington last spring.
