Race 3: No. 1 Castillian
Broke through for his first win under the care of Tony Gollan since arriving in Brisbane last time out in a class 3 at Eagle Farm.
He broke clear of the pack in the straight, showing a sharp turn of foot, to score by almost two lengths and this event doesn’t look much tougher.
Race 4: No. 12 Navyonthehighway
This is a very talented and lightly raced mare who made it three wins from four starts when resuming over 1110m here at Doomben.
She led all of the way in that event and she carries just 2kg more in what looks an easier task in this race.
Race 8: No. 5 Bews
A highly rated son of I Am Invincible who has finished in the top two in seven of his 15 career starts.
Has moved from the Mick Price and Michael Kent Junior stable to Stuart Kendrick now and he won a trial by 2.5 lengths leading into this first up assignment.
Drawn well and the apprentice claims 3kg.
Race 9: No. 1 Rubiquitous
He’s been a consistent sprinter in these types of races for quite some time and comes into this race off the back of two placings at Eagle Farm.
Five of his seven career wins have been on a good track which he will get on Saturday and the apprentice will use the claim to give him weight relief.
