The Ethan Ensby-trained galloper has improved with each start this preparation and fourth-up today, looks a winning chance in this event.
Last start, the So You Think gelding found the podium for the first time this campaign when he beat all but one home in a Class 1 at set weights, here over 2220m.
From the outside gate (8), he settled last spotting the leaders eight lengths before tracking into the race at the 600m mark, then found the front passing the 400m pole before being outgunned by one carrying 4kgs less on the day, leaving him with the silver medal in the race.
Peter Graham retains the ride here with the six-year-old scoring the gun-run from gate one and maps to settle near mid-field on the fence.

The Samantha McGuren-trained galloper is in great touch this time in and at the weights here, looks a real threat in this event.
Last start, the Harry Angel mare came off a Class 1 win on this track when she stepped-up in grade and wasn’t disgraced when finishing fourth in a Class 2 Hcp over 1600m at Coffs Harbour.
Unable to go the early pace, she settled back in the field on the fence before tracking wide near the turn, then coming down the centre of the track, she ducked-in and almost ran into another runner as Ben Looker had to re-balance her which cost the mare any chance of victory.
Crossing the line, she was finishing well, beaten just over two lengths on the line.
Facing BM66 opposition here, she jumps from gate seven and maps to settle near mid-field and after steering her to that victory two starts back, Jake Bayliss returns for the ride.
With a change of luck today and avoiding any traffic dramas, the four-year-old looks the testing material in this contest.
